So if you are in the Kettering,OH area and want to purchase some wonderful salsa (mine of course) or any health food items just check out Olympic Health Food Center.

How do you make it

Easy Homemade Re-fried Beans :)

Tuesday, August 23rd, 2011

I got home from shopping the other day and waiting in my email was this recipe from my daughter Molly.  She is an amazing cook, just ask her husband Jason who has — well let’s just say –expanded his palette since marrying Molly!

Thanks Sweetie. xo

Ingredients
1 can black beans
A Bit of a Bite Salsa ( I use Sarah Sweet)
finely diced onions (optional)
finely diced black olives (optional)
garlic powder (optional)

How do you make it

Loosely drain the black beans. Pour them into a bowl, and with a potato masher, mash the beans until they are somewhat a paste. Add A Bit of a Bite Salsa until the desired consistency. Mix salsa, beans, and add in your onions, olives, and additional spices, if you prefer.

Then what do you do

Enjoy!

(I like to eat this with Kashi Zesty Salsa Pita Chips as a lunch-yum!)

Salsa Day At 2nd Street Market in Dayton

Monday, August 8th, 2011

Organic coffee, stuffed French Toast at the Market!

Got my girls up early this past Saturday morning!  They are troupers, both have worked a lot this summer and treasure their day off and sleeping in.  SO I like any good Mom utilized the bribe technique.  An organic latte’ and stuffed french toast at a quaint local market. What typical teen could resist.

Ohio salsa goes to Michigan!

We were there to sell Salsa!  We had a great day and met some pretty wonderful people!  Michigan was the state of the day, we met so many wonderful people from Michigan who were visiting our area.  They left with a bit of Ohio in their bags in the form of a salsa jar!

A Bit of a Bite Salsa is now available at A Greener You at Dayton’s 2nd Street Market.  You will find a wonderful array of fresh produce, art, the most amazing Potter, coffee yum, recycle everything and of course A Bit of a Bite Salsa!
